Opterra, in collaboration with Jackson Environment and Planning Pty Ltd, recently published a discussion paper for the NSW EPA. This discussion paper presents research and evidence in relation to the quantities, disposal pathways, potential for human health and environmental impacts, and opportunities to better manage copper chrome arsenate (CCA) treated timber products at end of life through Extended Producer Responsibility Schemes. The focus of the discussion paper is domestic use and disposal of CCA treated timber.
